Tragic..!! Two women from Paguyangan Died After Being Hit by a Train



BREBES.INFO – Returning from the rice fields, two residents of Dukuh Soka, Winduaji Village, Paguyangan District, Brebes Regency, died when they were hit by the Bogowonto Train on the Lempuyangan - Monday Market Connection.

From the information gathered, the incident occurred at 01.20 Pm, on the railway track Km 324+700 entering Winduaji Hamlet, Winduaji Village, Paguyangan, Monday 25 March 2024.

Head of Winduaji Village, Paguyangan District, H.Abdurahman, said that the two victims who were hit by the train were residents, whose addresses were at Dukuh Soka RT 09/RW 03 Winduaji Village, named Waspiah (60) and Watem (60).

“The two victims are our residents, all of them work as farmers. "At that time, the two victims came from the rice field and took leftover rice from the harvest, or what the village calls gampung," explained Abdurahman.

According to Abdurahman, after leaving the rice fields, they went home together and crossed the train tracks, at the same time a train came at high speed and a disaster occurred, both of them were hit.

Brebes Police Chief AKBP Guntur Muhammad Tariq, SIK through Paguyangan Police Chief Kompol Sunarto, SH, confirmed that the incident occurred, two middle-aged women, residents of Winduaji Paguyangan Village, died at the location as a result of being hit by a train.

"At 14.00 Pm, we received a report that there had been an accident that two residents of Winduaji Village had died after being hit by the Bogowonto train. Then, together with personnel and a medical team from the Winduaji Community Health Center, we went to the location," said Paguyangan Police Chief Kompol Sunarto, SH.

Furthermore, the Sector Police Chief said that the personnel and medical team examined the two victims who had died, and from the results of the examination, both of them suffered injuries to their legs and head.

"The two victims who were examined by the medical team suffered injuries to their legs and heads. However, the victim's family refused to carry out an autopsy, and then the two victims were handed over to their respective families to be buried immediately," concluded the Paguyangan Police Chief.
